databases – A collection of information organized in such a way that a computer program can quickly select desired pieces of data. You can think of a database as an electronic filing system.

citation databases- A collection of bibliographical citations that can be searched, which will refer the reader to other sources of related information.

citation and abstract databases – A collection of bibliographical citations as well as short information summaries, which will refer the reader to other sources of information. 

full text databases – A collection of entire works which can be searched and narrowed down by topic/s or keyword/s
